2,6-Dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline Use and Manufacturing
The preparation method usually takes 4-trifluoromethylaniline as a raw material to prepare 2, 6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline. Put 50.0g 4-trifluoromethylaniline into a 500mL reaction flask, add 100mL glacial acetic acid, start stirring, heat up to 60℃, pass in chlorine gas, gas chromatographic tracking to stop the reaction when the raw material is ≤0.5%, cool and filter 2. Wash with water to obtain 68.5g of solid product, namely 2, 6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline, with a content of 98%. It is also possible to use p-chlorobenzotrifluoride to react with dimethylformamide in the presence of alkali at 180°C for 24 hours, and the product obtained is N, N-dimethyl p-trifluoromethylaniline, and then ventilate with chlorine under light conditions.
2,6-Dichloro-4-trifluoromethylaniline is an important intermediate of the insecticide fipronil. In addition, its diazonium salt can be used in the dye industry by self-condensation or condensation with other compounds. Used as pesticide intermediate
