Uruguay Meat Institute to participate in China International Import Expo
According to El Pais of Uruguay on November 7, China is a major destination for Uruguayan meat exports. In order to expand exports of Uruguayan meat to China, the Uruguayan National Meat Institute (INAC) has participated in the China International Import Expo with a booth area of 60 square meters. The Ukrainian Embassy in China actively organized the exhibition booth, and representatives from meat joint factories with offices in China attended the exhibition. A total of 12 meat joint enterprises registered for the exhibition.
Conrado Ferber, director of the National Meat Research Institute of Uzbekistan, made a presentation on Ukrainian beef production at the China International Meat Conference hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Animals and Livestock. He said the seemingly contradictory concepts of nature and technology can coexist harmoniously in the development of Ukraine's livestock industry. The technological revolution in livestock systems has led to the production of more meat with stable stocks. Wunian exports more than 500,000 tons of meat, accounting for 5 percent of international trade, making it one of the world's top 10 meat exporters.
