1.47 billion yuan! Hanson Pharma has introduced Pumis Bio EGFR/cMet for Greater China

yaozh.com 2022-11-17

On November 14, 2022, Hanson Pharma (stock code: 3692.HK) and Primis Biochem announced that they have entered into an exclusive cooperation and licensing agreement for the development and commercialization of Primis' primary drug PM1080 in Greater China, including the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hanson Pharma will receive exclusive rights to develop and commercialize PM1080 in Greater China and will pay Primes an initial payment of RMB50 million and potential payments of up to RMB1.418 billion for development, registration and sale-based commercialization milestones, as well as tiered royalties based on net sales.

PM1080 is an EGFR/cMet bispecpecial antibody drug. EGFR mutation is an important driving factor in a variety of cancers, especially non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The proportion of EGFR mutation in Chinese and Asian NSCLC patients is as high as 30%~40%, far higher than that in European and American patients. Therefore, clinical studies on EGFR targets are particularly important.

c-Met amplification is an important mechanism of EGFR-TKI resistance. Based on the good biological characteristics, efficacy and PK properties observed in preclinical studies, PM1080 has great therapeutic potential to block both EGFR and c-Met signaling and inhibit tumor growth and survival. This time, Hanson Pharmaceutical introduced PM1080, aiming to further develop the clinical value of its single drug or combined with the company's independent research and development of the first Chinese original third-generation EGFR-Tki-amitinib, to bring a new treatment direction for global lung cancer patients, and prolong survival.
