EFSA Publishes Peer Review Conclusions on Phenmedipham Herbicide Assessment

The European Food Safety Authority has released its peer review of the pesticide active substance phenmedipham following the evaluation conducted by Finland and Denmark. The review took place within the regulatory framework that governs renewal assessments for active substances and focused on the representative use of phenmedipham as a herbicide in sugar beet and fodder beet cultivation.

EFSA updated the assessment in light of new mandates concerning endocrine-disrupting properties and genotoxicity, reflecting evolving scientific requirements.
