The UK revises the requirements for issuing phytosanitary certificates for products such as vegetables imported from non-EU countries

On 17 November 2022, the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs revised the phytosanitary examination for products such as vegetables imported from non-EU countries Requirements for issuing certificates. The main amendments are as follows: (1) The section "Obtaining a Phytosanitary Certificate (PC)" has been updated to delete "The certificate must be signed by a person inspecting the phytosanitary institution within 14 days before the goods are shipped from the country or region where the product is located." "This specific request; (2) Add the stipulation: The phytosanitary certificate needs to be issued within 14 days before shipment from the exporting country. This amendment is effective as of the date of publication.
