China's fertilizer exports fell by 5%

The latest statistics released by the customs show that in June, China exported 2.29 million tons of chemical fertilizers, a year-on-year increase of 15.7% and a month-on-month increase of 3.2%. From January to June, a total of 11.93 million tons of chemical fertilizers were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 5.3%; the cumulative export value was US$2.65 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 24.5%. From the perspective of fertilizer exports, the best performer is ammonium sulfate. In June, China exported a total of 590,000 tons of ammonium sulfate, a year-on-year increase of 13%; from January to June, China exported 3.58 million tons of ammonium sulfate, a year-on-year increase of 8.6%.

Urea exports were poor in the first quarter and caught up in the second quarter. The export volume in May increased by 172.7% and continued to increase by 57.1% in June. The export volume of urea in the first half of the year reached 1.72 million tons, a slight drop of 2.6% year-on-year. Among the main export fertilizers, the relatively poor one is diammonium phosphate. In June, China exported 560,000 tons of diammonium phosphate, down 6.7% year-on-year; from January to June, it exported 2.03 million tons of diammonium phosphate, down 26.1% year-on-year. .
  
In terms of imports, China imported 650,000 tons of chemical fertilizers in June, down 43% year-on-year and up 4.8% month-on-month. From January to June, a total of 4.87 million tons of chemical fertilizers were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 26%; the cumulative import value was US$1.45 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 30.9%. Among them, the largest import volume is potassium chloride. The import volume in June was 490,000 tons, down 19.7% year-on-year; the cumulative import volume from January to June was 3.86 million tons, down 29% year-on-year.
