China Fragrance Industry Technology Conference Held
The 2020 China Fragrance, Flavor and Cosmetics Industry Technology Conference and the 13th Academic Symposium were held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province a few days ago.
Facing the severe economic situation at home and abroad and the tremendous pressure on the industry from the raging epidemic at the beginning of the year, from August 13th to 14th, organized by the China Fragrance, Fragrance and Cosmetics Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association"), Suzhou Luye Commodity Co., Ltd. The "2020 China Science and Technology Conference of Fragrance, Fragrance and Cosmetics Industry and the Thirteenth Academic Symposium" with the theme of "Coping with Challenges • Starting Again" was co-organized in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Association Chairman Chen Shaojun, Director Xiao Duyu of the Consumer Products Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant leaders attended the meeting.
This conference consists of exchanges of cutting-edge science and technology and the latest industry regulations, seminars on hot issues in the fragrance and fragrance/cosmetics industry, interviews with perfumers, exchanges of new cosmetic technologies and new results, professional skills drills in the cosmetics formulator industry, commendation activities and academic seminars, etc. The module is composed of rich and exciting content, attracting nearly 300 people including technical leaders, R&D personnel, experts and scholars from companies such as fragrances, cosmetics, raw materials and equipment, universities, research institutes and other units to attend the conference.
A total of 4 keynote speeches were set up in the exchange of cutting-edge science and technology and the latest industry regulations. Although Chen Wei, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Jiangnan University, was unable to visit the site for some reason, he still used the form of pre-recorded video, with the topic of "Probiotics Resource Discovery and Its Potential Regulatory Effect on Skin Health". At the same time, taking into account the full understanding of the content of the speech, Academician Chen Wei entrusted his assistant, Associate Professor Lu Wenwei, deputy director of the National Functional Food Engineering Technology Research Center, to answer questions on the spot.
Mao Haifang, deputy director of the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai University of Applied Sciences, introduced the prospects of molecular-level research on fragrance and fragrance technology and intelligent manufacturing in the fragrance and fragrance industry with the topic of "Introduction to Frontier Science and Technology in the Fragrance and Fragrance Industry".

In the afternoon of August 13, in order to enhance the professional level of the conference, the conference was divided into two venues for the cosmetics and fragrance and flavor industries. The special meeting on the fragrance and flavor industry consists of two parts, presided over by Cai Zhiqiang, Chairman of International Fragrance (China) Co., Ltd. The first part is a discussion on hot issues in the industry, focusing on the "R&D trend in the fragrance and flavor industry" after the epidemic. Professor Tian Hongyu from Beijing Technology and Business University introduced the trend of perfume synthesis technology-chiral perfume synthesis; Dr. Yu Yongfei of Dongguan Boton Perfume Co., Ltd. introduced the application status and development prospects of synthetic perfume; Yu Hanmou, manager of Shenzhen Yupeng Technology Co., Ltd., introduced The development trend of natural fragrances; Chairman Wang Jianfei of Kunshan Fragrance, Fragrance and Cosmetics Industry Association introduced the application of the negative pressure fully automatic regenerated activated carbon VOC treatment system in the fragrance and fragrance industry.
The second part is an interview with perfumers. Three generations of perfumers from the old, middle-aged and young from China gathered on the stage. Under the humorous and humorous guidance of the host, they shared their original intentions, their cognition and experience of the perfumer profession, and their expectations for the development of the industry. Participants actively interacted and expounded their unique views on the "Chinese Taste".
In the cosmetics industry sub-venue, the first part of the seminar was the hot topic of the cosmetics industry. Subsequently, using the platform of this conference, a meeting was organized to exchange opinions on secondary cosmetics legislation. This link also invited relevant leaders of the Cosmetics Supervision and Management Department of the State Drug Administration to attend the meeting. The meeting was solicited for comments on the current secondary legislation of the Regulations on Cosmetics Supervision and Administration. The content of the draft, fully listened to the opinions and suggestions of all parties in the industry, and built a feedback platform for the representatives of the industry's secondary legislation opinions and suggestions.
The cosmetics industry branch also conducted the exchange of new technologies and new achievements. Professor Chen Baohua of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University and Mr. Ni Bing, the sales manager of Ikat (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. respectively presented "rice fermentation broth" and "innovative emulsification technology". The topic shared the application of rice fermentation broth in cosmetics and new emulsification technology.
Finally, the cosmetics industry sub-venue also held a professional skills drill for cosmetic formulators. This drill was based on the well-acclaimed 2018 industry technology conference cosmetic formulator skills drill, once again invited cosmetics "behind-the-scenes magician" Before the stage, starting from the two dimensions of theoretical foundation and practical experience, the professional skill level of cosmetic formulators was tested. In the event, the teams competed fiercely, the experts commented on the professionalism, and the atmosphere was warm. After fierce competition, Shanghai Jahwa United Co., Ltd. finally won the award for this exercise.
During the preparatory period for this conference, the association will be voluntarily declared by the enterprise under the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness. In the commendation activities of this conference, Chen Shaojun, the chairman of the association, respectively announced the list of winners of the above awards. As an important part of this conference, the 13th Annual Symposium on Fragrance, Flavors and Cosmetics was held on August 14. During the preparations for this seminar, 34 academic papers in the fragrance and flavor industry and 61 academic papers in the cosmetics industry were received, covering many aspects such as basic research, inspection and analysis, and raw material research and development. On this basis, the association organized two industry expert committees for the evaluation of the papers of the Thirteenth Academic Symposium. Based on the principle of fairness and impartiality, the above papers were carefully reviewed by blind reviews. According to the overall technical level of the review articles, the best ones were selected. A total of 48 award-winning papers were selected, including 17 in the fragrance and fragrance industry and 31 in the cosmetics industry, reflecting to a certain extent the industry's technology research and development hotspots and innovative development trends. At the academic seminar, industry experts and researchers published more than ten award-winning excellent papers.
This conference is the first offline conference held by the association after the new crown pneumonia epidemic. It is based on the persistence of industry academic papers and discussions. The third science and technology conference after the industry science and technology conferences in 2016 and 2018 is created by the association. An important part of the industry technology exchange platform. The purpose of the conference is to further strengthen communication and exchanges between enterprises, promote the construction of the industry's vocational skill talent team, improve the overall technological level of the industry, and lead the development of enterprises in the post-epidemic era.
