BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF BEAUTY THERAPY & COSMETOLOGY LAUNCHES NEW FRAMEWORK TO ENSURE CONSUMER SAFETY

ECHEMI 2023-02-06

THE WHAT? The British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTC) has launched a new framework, named T.I.M.E at the Houses of Parliament, which aims to ensure that consumers are aware of what to be mindful of when booking a service with a beauty therapist.

THE DETAILS Supported by influential bodies and figures, including Caroline Hirons, Millie Kendall OBE of the British Beauty Council, skincare expert Dija Ayodele, and Skin Group International Founder Candice Glanville, T.I.M.E offers a regulatory checklist.

THE WHY? The UK beauty industry lacks legislation, which allows any individual to establish themselves as a professional therapist.
