Bangladesh to Import HSD from Numaligarh Refinery

Chemical Weekly 2018-04-20

Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) will import 66,000-tonnes of High Speed Diesel (HSD), equivalent to 30 rakes, from Numaligarh Refinery Ltd. (NRL) in the period between May to December this year. The exports will take place from NRL’s Siliguri marketing terminal to Parbatipur depot of BPC in Bangladesh. This was decided in a meeting between NRL and BPC in Shillong recently. A goodwill rake containing 2,284-tonnes of HSD from NRL’s Siliguri marketing terminal to Bangladesh was flagged off in April last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina through remote device from New Delhi.
