ECHEMI 2020-10-20

On October 19th, Givaudan officially launched the "Natural Flavors of Origin" strategy on its official website, that is, to purchase natural flavors from the origin in a responsible manner and develop and create them.

Givaudan said that since 2008, the company has been a pioneer in sourcing natural flavors from the country of origin. By expanding its exclusive global supplier network, Givaudan has strengthened its "natural flavors of origin" mode of operation. At present, the company directly purchases 80% of natural fragrances from the place of origin through the supply network.

In recent years, Givaudan has successively acquired Centroflora Nutra, the nutrition division of the Brazilian plant extract company Centroflora Group, the French plant-based raw material company Naturex (Naturex), and the French natural fragrance company Albert Vieille. Expertise in the field of raw materials, such as agronomy. Not only that, through these acquisitions, Givaudan has continued to deepen its plantation and close cooperation with the country of origin, bringing more opportunities for direct use of fresh raw materials for responsible innovation.

Givaudan said that in the past three years, about 100 new natural fragrances have been incorporated into the raw material library of the perfumery industry, allowing perfumers to create new formulas to meet the needs of consumers who pursue nature.
