China's chemical raw materials & products manufacturing industry down 17.7%
On October 27, China's National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that from January to September, China's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved total profits of 436.50 billion yuan, down 2.4 percent year-on-year. Among them, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry realized a total profit of 252.58 billion yuan, down 17.7% year-on-year.
From January to September, the mining industry realized a total profit of 267.43 billion yuan, down 37.2%; the manufacturing industry realized a total profit of 376.02 billion yuan, up 1.1%; electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry to realize a total profit of 393.05 billion yuan, up 2.6%.
The data show that from January to September, in 41 major industrial sectors, 21 industries total profits increased year-on-year, 20 industries decreased. Major industry profits are as follows: special equipment manufacturing industry grew 22.3%, general equipment manufacturing industry grew 10.7%, the textile industry grew 4.8%, the automobile manufacturing industry grew 3.0%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew 2.9%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew 2.1%, electricity, heat production and supply industry grew 2.1%; oil and gas extraction industry fell 70.2%, oil, coal and other fuel processing industry fell 66.2%, coal mining and washing industry fell 30.1%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry fell 18.7%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry fell 17.7%, non-metallic mineral products industry fell 1.3%.
In the first nine months, China's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 74.23 trillion yuan, down 1.5% year-on-year; incurred operating costs of 62.53 trillion yuan, down 1.4%; operating income margin of 5.88%, down 0.06 percentage points year-on-year.
In September, China's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved total profits of 646.43 billion yuan, up 10.1 percent year-on-year, down 9.0 percentage points from August.
