58 chemical companies on the list of China's top 500 private enterprises
On September 7, China's National Federation of Industry and Commerce officially announced the list of top 500 private enterprises in China in 2022. 58 petroleum and chemical companies made the list, occupying more than 10% of the list.
Among the petroleum and chemical companies on the list, 22 chemical companies in Shandong are listed in the top 500 by region, showing the absolute strength of the first major chemical province; as a major private economy province, Zhejiang Province has 11 companies on the list. In addition, Jiangsu has 8 companies, and Guangdong and Fujian have 4 companies each.
Overall, the top 500 private enterprises in 2022 are still mainly in the manufacturing industry, with 301 enterprises. Among them, the petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industry, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry have increased the number of finalists compared with the previous three years, 25 and 18 respectively.
The 2022 China Top 500 Private Enterprises Research and Analysis Report shows that the total revenue of the top 500 private enterprises reached 38.32 trillion yuan, an increase of 9.13%; total assets of 41.64 trillion yuan, down 17.92%; net profit after tax of 1.73 trillion yuan, down 12.28%. This year, the threshold for entry into the top 500 private enterprises is 26.367 billion yuan, an increase of 2.866 billion yuan over the previous year.
In addition, the list shows that in 2021 there are 87 enterprises with total revenue of more than 100 billion yuan, 118 enterprises with total revenue between 50 billion and 100 billion yuan, and 295 enterprises with total revenue between 10 billion and 50 billion yuan. Among them, there are 7 petrochemical companies with revenue over 100 billion yuan, and 14 companies with revenue between 50 billion and 100 billion yuan.
