Total Profits from China's Chemical Raw Materials and Products Manufacturing Industry Fell 38.5% YOY in the First 11 Months
According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China on December 27, from January to November, the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide was 6982.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.4%, and the decline was 3.4 percentage points narrower than that from January to October.
Data show that the total profit of the oil and natural gas mining industry was 354.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 8.5%; the total profit of the petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industry was 51.09 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%; the total profit of the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry was 421.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 38.5%.
From January to November, among industrial enterprises above designated size, state-controlled enterprises achieved a total profit of 2241.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%; joint-stock enterprises achieved a total profit of 5159.37 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.1%; foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises achieved a total profit of 1621.78 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.7%; the total profit of private enterprises was 2,002.31 billion yuan, an increase of 1.6%.
Data show that in the first 11 months, the mining industry achieved a total profit of 1227.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18.3%; the manufacturing industry achieved a total profit of 5098.71 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.7%; the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry achieved a total profit of 655.85 billion yuan, an increase of 47.3%.
Nearly 60% of industries saw profit growth, and 80% of industries saw profit growth rebound. From January to November, among the 41 major industrial industries, 24 industries experienced year-on-year profit growth, with a profit growth rate of 58.5.
The profit situation of the main industries is as follows: the total profit of the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 275.6% year-on-year, the electricity and heat production and supply industry increased by 58.2%, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 21.8%, and the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased by 17.2%, general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.4%, automobile manufacturing industry increased by 2.9%, special equipment manufacturing industry decreased by 1.0%, textile industry decreased by 1.8%, oil and natural gas extraction industry decreased by 8.5%, computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry decreased by 11.2%, agricultural and sideline food processing industry decreased by 11.8%, petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industry decreased by 14.1%, non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 25.6%, coal mining and washing industry decreased by 25.9%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry decreased by 38.5%.
From January to November, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 120.04 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.0%; operating costs incurred were 101.93 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.1%; the operating income profit margin was 5.82%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.32 percentage points. At the end of November, the total assets of industrial enterprises above designated size were 167.78 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%; the total liabilities were 96.59 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.4%; the total owners' equity was 71.20 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.1%; the asset-liability ratio was 57.6%, a year-on-year increase of 0.1 percentage points.
At the end of November, the accounts receivable of industrial enterprises above designated size were 24.59 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%; the inventory of finished products was 6.29 trillion yuan, an increase of 1.7%.
From January to November, the cost per 100 yuan of operating income of industrial enterprises above designated size was 84.92 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.16 yuan; the cost per 100 yuan of operating income was 8.35 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.25 yuan.
At the end of November, the operating income of industrial enterprises above designated size per 100 yuan of assets was 80.8 yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.0 yuan; the per capita operating income was 1.794 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 62,000 yuan; the inventory turnover days of finished products was 19.9 days, a year-on-year increase of 0.9 days; the average collection period of accounts receivable was 63.0 days, an increase of 4.9 days year-on-year.
In November, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a year-on-year profit increase of 29.5%.
