BASF launches new exterior wall coating technology
Recently, BASF announced that it has launched an innovative DURA-COLOR coating anti-aging technology, which can protect coatings for a long time and prevent them from aging. This revolutionary technology aims to improve the durability of exterior wall coatings, especially in terms of color maintenance and appearance cleanliness.
BASF stated that the technology contains three key innovation elements, namely the use of sequence controlled polymerization, specific cross-linking methods and optimal reaction control. Polymer coatings based on innovative technical elements can achieve excellent color retention, stain resistance, weathering resistance and alkali resistance.
Exterior wall paint is exposed to sunlight, rain, dust and various pollutants every day, and these factors tend to accelerate the aging of the paint. Refurbishment is one of the ways to give a building a new lease of life. However, the cost of house renovation is high, the process is complicated, and it will increase overall carbon emissions. As an expert in all-round construction solutions, BASF is committed to developing high-quality coating dispersions to meet these challenges.
In order to ensure that the product quality is suitable for different markets, BASF has conducted outdoor exposure tests for more than two years in major countries such as Australia, China, India, Indonesia and the United States. This unique polymer dispersion production technology has been successfully applied to BASF's polymer dispersion plants in Asia Pacific, and can provide products to local customers through the Asia Pacific production network.
