SIPG's monthly throughput sets a new record
In October, the container throughput of Shanghai Port exceeded 4 million TEU in a single month for the first time, setting a monthly historical record with 4.2 million TEU, which was 297,000 TEU more than the monthly throughput record set just in July, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year. During the National Day holiday, the volume of containers completed increased by 28% year-on-year, and the throughput of bulk cargo continued to maintain growth. They won a good start in the first month of the fourth quarter!
From March to April this year, the volume of China's seaborne cargo has grown steadily, especially after entering the third quarter, the increase has accelerated. The demand for cargo in domestic and overseas markets has further increased, and the volume of import and export containers has continued to grow.
At the same time, the bulk cargo terminal companies have made concerted efforts to explore the market and accurately capture the source of goods, thus achieving a good trend and gratifying results of the year-on-year increase of cargo throughput in the first three quarters.
