Inventory of China's Canned Orange Exports in 2021
Export Profile
From January to December 2021, the total export volume of canned oranges in China was 262,000 tons, with a total value of US$306 million and an average unit price of US$1,170/ton. Compared with the same period of the previous year, the quantity increased by 3%, the amount decreased by 1%, and the average price decreased by 4%.
Among them, in December 2021, China exported 27,400 tons of canned oranges, with an amount of US$33.93 million and an average unit price of US$1,236/ton. Compared with the same period of the previous year, both the quantity and the amount increased by 48%, and the unit price remained basically the same.

From January to December 2021, among the 53 countries and regions where Chinese canned oranges are exported, the top ten countries in terms of export volume are: the United States, Japan, Thailand, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Iran, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and South Korea.
Among them, China exported 143,200 tons of canned oranges to the United States, accounting for 55% of the total exports of canned oranges in China, with an amount of US$183 million, a year-on-year increase of 4% in volume, a basically unchanged amount, and a 4% decrease in unit price;
Exported 58,300 tons to Japan, accounting for 22% of China's total exports of canned oranges, with an amount of US$62.72 million, a year-on-year increase of 2% in volume, a decrease of 3% in value, and a decrease in unit price by 5%;
Exported 13,600 tons to Thailand, accounting for 5% of China's total exports of canned oranges, with an amount of US$13.51 million, a year-on-year increase of 23% in volume, an increase of 18% in value, and a decrease in unit price by 4%;
The export to Canada was 8,807 tons, accounting for 3% of the total export of canned oranges in China, with an amount of US$10.68 million, a year-on-year increase of 7% in volume, a 2% increase in value and a 4% decrease in unit price.
Exporting provinces and cities
From January to December 2021, among the 15 provinces and cities that export canned oranges in China, the top eight provinces and cities in terms of export volume are: Zhejiang, Hubei, Anhui, Hunan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Beijing and Hebei.
Among them, Zhejiang Province exported 185,500 tons of canned oranges, accounting for 71% of the country's total export of canned oranges, with an amount of US$223 million and a unit price of US$1,204 per ton, a year-on-year increase of 3% in quantity, a decrease of 2% in amount, and a decrease in unit price of 5%;
Hubei Province exported 30,700 tons of canned oranges, accounting for 12% of the country's total export of canned oranges, with an amount of US$26.95 million and a unit price of US$879/ton, a year-on-year increase of 3% in quantity, a decrease of 7% in value, and a decrease of 10% in unit price;
The export volume of Anhui Province was 14,300 tons, accounting for 5% of the total export of canned oranges in the country, with an amount of 20.94 million US dollars and a unit price of 1,464 US dollars per ton, an increase of 25% in both quantity and value year-on-year, and the unit price was basically the same;
Hunan Province exported 11,900 tons of canned oranges, accounting for 5% of the country's total export of canned oranges, with an amount of US$12.62 million and a unit price of US$1,061 per ton, a year-on-year decrease of 32% in quantity, 28% in value, and 6% in unit price.
