Total investment of 5.08 billion! Projects such as bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin are progressing in an orderly manner
Recently, the construction site of the new olefin material industry chain extension project of Qingdao Bay Chemical Co., LTD., was filled with tanks and roaring machines, just like a busy scene. It is understood that the project is equivalent to the third phase of the Bay Chemical project, including 240,000 tons/year high-end polycarbonate bisphenol A project, 240,000 tons/year high-end polycarbonate bisphenol A project steam supply supporting project and 3× 75,000 tons/year epichlorohydrin project (Phase I) three sub-projects such as incremental projects, the total investment reached 5.08 billion yuan. At present, the three sub-projects are progressing in an orderly way.
"This is our new industrial chain. After the completion of the project, the Bay Chemical Plant will have all the processes for the production of BPA." The head of the Gulf chemical Technology Department said.
The bisphenol A project will be tested within this year
At present, the main installation of the 240,000 tons/year high-end polycarbonate bisphenol A project has basically finished, and workers are putting the finishing touches on it. This project is a key project in Shandong Province, with a total investment of 2.44 billion yuan and an output value of 4 billion yuan after completion of the project. The project introduces the advanced process technology from Begill and Kellogg Brown Lute, which is the most advanced chemical production technology in the world today. At present, the installation of pipeline equipment of the main device of the project has been basically completed, and the work such as purge pressure test is being carried out.
40,000 tons/year high-end polycarbonate with bisphenol A and other projects for steam supply, the main construction of new coal water slurry boiler and related coal water slurry pulping, water vapor system, dust removal, desulfurization and denitrification, fire station, kitchen restaurant and other supporting facilities. At present, the project has completed the installation of boiler pipeline equipment, the sewage treatment construction has entered the final stage, and the steam supply construction has basically finished, and the installation has begun. Bay Chemical engineering Department responsible for the introduction of two projects related to bisphenol A, will strive for trial within the year.
Construction of epoxy resin industry chain
The 240,000 tons/year Bisphenol A project for high-end polycarbonate is the extension project of Gulf Chemical propylene/benzene industry chain, and also an important link of Gulf Group's "epichlorohydrin + bisphenol A-epoxy resin" high-end new materials and composite material industry chain.
The 3× 75,000 tons/year epichlorohydrin project (Phase I), with an investment of 2.05 billion yuan and the glycerol process technology of green cycle, has been included in the major project of the transformation of old and new energy in Shandong Province. Among the three projects, the products of bisphenol A project and epichlorohydrin project will synthesize epoxy resin, forming a more complete industrial chain of the enterprise. According to the introduction, epichlorohydrin project (Phase I) is an important extension of the company's existing vinyl polymer industry chain, but also an important layout in the field of high-end new materials, composite materials.
With the completion and production of this project and subsequent epoxy resin projects, Gulf Chemical will build a relatively complete epoxy resin industry chain, become one of the important domestic epoxy resin production enterprises, and enrich the product lines and profit growth points of Gulf Chemical in the organic polymer material sector. For this reason, the project of extending the industrial chain of olefin new materials is of great significance to the adjustment of the product structure of Gulf Group and the realization of the transformation to high-tech materials. It will also play an important role in the transformation and upgrading of Qingdao chemical industry.
