China's import and export volume of lysine and methionine rebounded in September
According to customs statistics, in September 2020, my country’s export volume of lysine and lysine salts and esters was 63,000 tons, an increase of 32% year-on-year and 20.4% month-on-month. In September, the average export price of lysine in my country was US$900.46/ton, down 3.7% from the previous month. In the past two years, domestic lysine expansion capacity has been released, and the price of lysine has been operating at a low level.
From January to September 2020, my country's lysine exports to Europe, Asia, Africa and some countries in the Americas have maintained high growth. The top ten countries are the Netherlands, the United States, Germany, Thailand, Poland, Vietnam, Canada, Lithuania and the Russian Federation , my country’s exports to the top ten countries accounted for 49.7% of total exports. From January to September 2020, my country exported 585,000 tons of lysine salts and esters, a year-on-year increase of 36.85%. Among them, exports to the Netherlands were the highest with 71,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.84%, followed by Germany, with exports to 3.84 tons, a year-on-year increase of 58.74%, and exports to the United States were 34,700 tons, a year-on-year increase of 130.4%.
According to customs statistics, in September 2020, my country imported 22,700 tons of solid methionine products, a month-on-month increase of 8,880 tons and a year-on-year increase of 393 tons. In September 2020, my country imported 5803 tons from Malaysian factories, an increase of 4110 tons from the previous month and an increase of 2,584 tons year-on-year. In September, my country imported 8160 tons from Singapore factories, an increase of 3,200 tons from the previous month and a decrease of 4,520 tons from the same period last year. From January to September 2020, my country's methionine imports totaled 148,900 tons, down 2.32% year-on-year. The top three countries in terms of imports are Singapore, Belgium, and Malaysia. Among them, imports from Singapore accounted for the highest proportion, with a cumulative import of 54,500 tons, accounting for 36.5%, and a year-on-year decrease of 12.46%. Followed by Belgium, the cumulative import volume from January to September was 42,800 tons, a year-on-year increase of 145.6%. The cumulative import volume from Malaysia was 31,600 tons, down 18.42% year-on-year.
In September 2020, my country exported 7,468.3 tons of solid methionine, a month-on-month increase of 2,883.14 tons and a year-on-year increase of 5,863.56 tons. From January to September 2020, my country exported 306,000 tons of methionine, a year-on-year increase of 28.61%. From January to September, the export unit price of methionine in my country was US$2174.84/ton, down 1.11% year-on-year. From January to September 2020, my country's main exporters of methionine are Germany, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Vietnam, and South Korea. Among them, the export volume to Germany is the highest, at 8309.87 tons, accounting for 27.1% of the total export volume. From January to September 2020, my country's methionine exports to the United States, the Netherlands, and Norway were 177.4 tons, 173.8 tons, and 100 tons, respectively, down 89%, 83.3%, and 71.2% year-on-year.
According to customs statistics, in September 2020, my country exported 44,300 tons of threonine products, a year-on-year increase of 9549.77 tons and a month-on-month increase of 3,842.56 tons. From January to September 2020, my country exported 427,500 tons of threonine, a year-on-year increase of 21%. From January to September 2020, the unit price of my country's threonine export was 1366.7 US dollars/ton, down 5.46% year-on-year. From January to September 2020, my country’s exports to Europe, Asia, Africa and other regions remain high. The main exporting countries are Brazil, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States, the Russian Federation, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada, India, and the Philippines. 42,200 tons, an increase of 41.05% year-on-year, and exports to the Netherlands were 35,200 tons, an increase of 25.48% year-on-year.
