DSM released the results of the development of nutrition business
Recently, DSM announced the results of the first audit of the company's food system commitment, reflecting the development status of the company's nutrition business.
By 2022, DSM's animal feed solutions help customers reduce emissions from livestock farms, including 20% of ammonia emissions from pig farming, 6.8% of phosphorus eutrophication in poultry farming and 20.5% of ammonia in dairy production. emission of greenhouse gases. DSM aims to achieve double digits by 2030 by expanding investments in scientifically and economically proven innovations such as Feed Enzymes and Biologics such as Velocity, Digestarom and the methane inhibitor Bovaer, which has received multi-national regulatory approval in 2022 emissions from livestock farms.
In addition, in December 2022, DSM launched the Vertis series of products, including the world's first soy- and gluten-free textured complete plant protein, helping it achieve "providing 150 million people with nutritious, sustainable plant-based protein food".
According to DSM, the results of the first review set a benchmark for subsequent quantification of its goal of "providing accessible and affordable nutrition and supporting improved livelihoods globally by 2030". DSM's Food Systems Commitment covers areas where it believes it can have the greatest positive impact.
