Clariant Highlights Skin& Hair Care Solutions at Customer Symposium in Ahmedabad
Vitamin D was Japan brand FANCL’s best-selling supplement in April 2020, with sales growing 218% compared to the corresponding period last year.
Oyster extract and turmeric liver supplements ranked second, with sales up 88%. PROPOLIS is the third most popular supplement, with sales up 78%.
These data are part of FANCL's work to closely monitor Japan's supplementary sales trends, especially during the Covid-19 epidemic. These data are collected from its mail order channels.
Vitamin D is often referred to as "sunshine vitamin", proper sunlight can promote the synthesis of vitamin D in the body. Due to the popularity of Covid-19, the Japanese government urged residents to avoid unnecessary outings. FANCL pointed out that this may prompt consumers to worry about their lack of vitamin D, thus promoting the growth of vitamin D sales.
