Nichino India has opened a new plant in India with good market feedback for the patented ingredient Benzpyrimoxan
Nichino India, a leading agrochemical company in India, opened a new manufacturing plant in Humnabad on April 12, 2023. The plant has multifunctional facilities for the production of insecticides, fungicides, intermediates and preparations. The high-tech plant is estimated to be capable of producing patented active drug grade products worth Rs 2.5 billion (about 209 million yuan) per year. The plant is designed to be environmentally safe, with specialized acid recovery equipment, dust-free areas, Nauta's vacuum dryer, zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system, and more. Global President of Nichino India Hiroyuki Iwata San and representatives of other major companies in Japan and India attended the unveiling.
Nihon Nohyaku Corporation (NNC), founded in 1928, is the parent company of Nichino India. NNC is Japan's first research-based agricultural chemicals company and has been serving farmers in more than 100 countries for many years. The company has developed a number of successful active ingredients such as flubenzoidamide, thiazone, pyrimoxan, Azolacide, Azolacidamide and Benzpyrimoxan. Nichino India's mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of the agriculture, food and health industries while protecting the environment and the health of its customers and employees. The new facility marks an important milestone for Nichino India as it continues to grow in India.
Orchestra® (Benzpyrimoxan) is a novel Japanese technique for the effective management of rice brown planthopper with different modes of action and safe toxicological properties that do not affect the life of beneficial insects or non-target organisms. Benzpyrimoxan(BPX) is a new active ingredient developed by Nichino India after 10 years of research. Through a novel and unique mode of action known as a ecdysone titer disruptor, BPX has a long residue of activity that extends crop protection after application.
Rice brown planthopper is one of the most destructive pests that can cause significant losses to farmers, and Orchestra® addresses this problem with a new generation of brown planthopper control products for farmers. Users have given very positive feedback on Orchestra®, for example, Orchestra® is the safest solution for controlling brown planthopper, protecting beneficial insects, featuring efficient and longer lasting control, strong plants, healthy tillers, even ear grains, and higher yield.
Orchestra® is part of the "Make in India" initiative launched by the Government of India to promote domestic manufacturing. Orchestra® is jointly developed and marketed by Japanese and Indian companies. Nichino India is excited about bringing the technology to India and seeing good market results.
