L Catterton to Acquire Minority Stake in Perfume Company EX NIHILO
L Catterton will acquire a significant minority stake in EX NIHILO, a Paris-based luxury perfume brand, while Eurazeo will exit its investment.
Under the agreement, Eurazeo will sell its entire stake in EX NIHILO, and the brand's founders and management are expected to reinvest alongside L Catterton. Founded in 2013, EX NIHILO has established itself in the global luxury perfume market with its signature fragrances such as Fleur Narcotique and Blue Talisman, as well as its personalized services. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
This deal reflects the continued strong interest of private equity in the high-growth luxury fragrance sector, as this category performs exceptionally well in the global premium beauty market. For EX NIHILO, the partnership with L Catterton marks the next stage in its international development, while Eurazeo's exit highlights the strong valuation growth momentum in the luxury fragrance sector.
