Special engineering plastics integration project
Project name: Special engineering plastics integration project
Project location: Penglai Chemical Industry Park Wanhua Penglai Industrial Park
Project overview: This project will build a set of acrylonitrile joint plant (including 260,000 tons/year acrylonitrile process, 90,000 tons/year ACH device process, 50,000 tons/year SAR process), a set of 400,000 tons/year ABS device, as well as supporting storage and transportation engineering, environmental protection engineering, public works and auxiliary facilities
Project significance: Wanhua Penglai Industrial Park Propane dehydrogenation (PDH) can provide abundant C3 resources for Penglai Industrial Park. The development of acrylonitrile and C3 MMA products is a good way to increase the added value of PDH downstream products. The main raw materials of ABS resin are styrene, butadiene and acrylonitrile, which can further improve the value of the industrial chain of the above three raw materials, and ensure the supply and quality of ABS raw materials.

Project location: Penglai Chemical Industry Park Wanhua Penglai Industrial Park
Construction overview: Newly built 160,000 tons/year acrylic acid plant, 400,000 tons/year butyl acrylate plant and supporting public works and auxiliary facilities
It is reported that Wanhua Chemical Group held a discussion on the scale adjustment of acrylic acid and ester project on October 7, 2022. The owner proposed that the project scale should be changed from one 160,000 tons/annual capacity to two sets, divided into two phases of construction. At the same time, it is required to arrange two phases of devices on the floor area of the general drawing, synchronous design, synchronous construction and synchronous driving.
