Corteva launches the Zorvec Vinabel in Germany
Zorvec Vinabel™, the first readymade fungicide for viticulture, has been launched on the German market to help grape growers increase yields.
Zorvec Vinabel™ is a readymade combination of Zorvec™ (Oxathiapiprolin) and Zoxamide. The combination, on the one hand, provides resistance management because the two active ingredients belong to different activity groups. On the other hand, the product is effective against oomyces diseases such as grape downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola). Zorvec Vinabel™ enables grapes to maintain good yields even under extremely challenging stresses, such as severe disease infections.
Pascal Greiner, viticulture consultant at Corteva, said: "Zorvec Vinabel™ is special in that it can be used during periods of uneven crown growth (EC 55-61). The systematic redistribution of active ingredients ensures that the common leaves already in the developmental stage are protected, and this also applies to the ovary below the corolla. Zorvec Vinabel™ aims to achieve effective control and control of grape downy mildew."
The Zorvec Vinabel™ will be available in 2023. Based on the new leaf wall area model, the dosage of fresh and wine grapes is 0.38 litres per 10,000 square metres. The recommended use period of this product is the early flowering, which can effectively protect the growth of stems and leaves throughout the growth period of grapes.
