The environmental assessment of 2500t herbicide intermediate project was published

2023-05-26

On May 24, Jilin Pingji’s 2500t pesticide intermediate project (phase I ) environmental impact report published on the Jilin Provincial Department of Ecological Environment website. In order to seize the market opportunity, enhance the market competitiveness of the enterprise and make full use of its own advantages, Jilin Pingji carries out the construction of the project(Phase I of 2500t pesticide intermediate (this project), producing 1600 t/a Chloroallyloxyamine and 900 t/a 5-Ethylpyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid diethyl ester

Chloroallyloxyamine, is an intermediate of Clethodim, which is a broadleaf weed herbicide with a wide range of uses. It is a highly efficient, safe and highly selective ACCase inhibitor. It is specific for most annual and perennial grass weeds and safe for dicotyledonous crops.

5-Ethylpyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid diethyl ester (PDE) is a non-important pesticide and pharmaceutical intermediate, especially widely used in the synthesis of Ethyleneurea herbicides. This kind of herbicide can control grass weeds and some broad-leaved weeds in soybean and other leguminous plant fields. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity, crop safety and environmental friendliness. It is widely used in the world, and its annual export volume has increased by more than 15% since 2010. Domestic demand is also growing year after year, resulting in short supply of PDE.
