A project of 3000 t/a Thiamethoxam and Clothianidin synthesis intermediate product is planned

 On May 11, Hubei Dingchen’s EIA approval opinions  of 3,000 t/a 2-Chloro-5-chloromethyl thiazole products project was published on the Jingmen City Bureau of Ecological Environment website. Hubei Dingchen was established in March 2021, the company mainly engaged in the production and sales of chemical products. The company plans to invest 120 million yuan to build ,000 t/a 2-Chloro-5-chloromethyl thiazole products project in the east of Jinghe Avenue of Jingmen Chemical Recycling Industrial Park, north of Xinlin Wax Industry and south of Junran New Materials.

2-Chloro-5-chloromethyl thiazole as a pesticide intermediate, mainly used in the synthesis of Thiamethoxam and Clothianidin pesticides. At present, Thiamethoxam is the world's latest generation of broad-spectrum, high-efficiency, low-toxicity insecticide, which can be used on most crops in China. It ranks the second in global sales volume and is also the first choice of the Ministry of Agriculture to promote and use against aphids, planthoppers, mealworms, leafhoppers and other pests.
