Basf is about to expand its capacity!
On May 29, the environmental impact assessment of the integrated Phase III carbon value chain expansion project of Yangzi Petrochemical and BASF Co., Ltd. was first published.
The integrated Phase 3 carbon 2 value chain expansion project is located in the existing plant of Yangzi Petrochemical and BASF Co., LTD., mainly to build a photovoltaic EVA device of 300,000 tons/year with an annual operation time of 8,000 hours. New EVA substation and cabinet room, finished product packaging workshop and warehouse, 100000Nm3/h waste gas treatment facility (RTO) and peroxide warehouse and other supporting facilities; A set of waste oil loading crane pipe, a vinyl acetate buffer tank, expansion of 5# circulating water station, transformation of 8# circulating water station, transformation of U401 and C402 substation, transformation of 15#C substation, C231 cabinet room, transformation of B900 elevated torch and other public works; A new digital operation center was built, and auxiliary production facilities such as C921 control room, C405 control room and EB/SM analysis laboratory were renovated.
Established in 2000, Yangzi-BASF Co., Ltd. is located in Nanjing Jiangbei New Material Science and Technology Park. Sinopec and BASF jointly invested 5.5 billion US dollars in a 50-50 share ratio. It has an EVA production unit with a capacity of 200,000 tons/year, which uses Basell's high-pressure tubular process technology. The unique cold flow design of the device improves the conversion rate of the reaction, so that the device can produce EVA resin with VA content from 4% to 28%.
