Progress in cooperation between Insecticides (India) Ltd and OAT Agrio of Japan: 11 patents over 10 years

Insecticides (India) Ltd（IIL）, a leading crop protection and nutrition company, has made significant progress in its' Discovery molecule 'R&D activities. OAT & IIL India Laboratories, a joint venture between the company and leading Japanese chemical conglomerate OAT Agrio Co, has filed 11 patents for crop protection solutions over the past 10 years.

The OAT-IIL joint venture was allocated INR 150 million (approximately US $1.8 million), with 80% of the distribution being undertaken by OAT Agrio of Japan and 20% by IIL.

The managing director of Insecticides (India) Ltd（IIL）said that as early as 2013, IIL had entered into a partnership with OAT Agrio Co. Ltd. Collaborate to invent new agricultural molecules. The OAT-IIL joint venture is committed to researching new chemicals for India and the world to bring a brighter and prosperous future to agriculture, with a dedicated team of more than 40 scientists constantly exploring a variety of crop protection solutions, each using uniquely structured substances that break new ground for crop protection.

 In the past 10 years, the joint venture has made great progress and has applied for 11 patents. For the molecules it develops, the joint venture gives IIL exclusive production rights for the Indian market as well as export rights to 12 countries, while OAT has export rights to the rest of the world. OAT-IIL's research will have a significant impact on the Indian agrochemical industry and the global landscape.
