Albaugh : the new Brave acaricide was added to the list of ProteCitrus in Brazil
Albaugh recently announced that its acaricide Braver has been added to the list of ProteCitrus.
Braver has been approved by Brazilian regulators for mite control. As a non-endogenous acaricide, Braver acts on all stages of mite growth by contact and can be used in coffee, coconut, apple, papaya, rubber and tomato crops in addition to citrus.
The ProteCitrus list is a voluntary project initiated by the industry to monitor regulatory standards for pesticides in Brazil and citrus importing countries and contains a list of products authorized for use on citrus crops in Brazil. Albaugh said the aim is to help producers adhere to good agricultural practices by using only licensed products when protecting orchards.
The ProteCitrus list has recently been updated to add 34 commercial products, while excluding the active ingredient thiophos, whose registration has not been renewed by the EU, the details are as follows.
