Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. is a globally operating chemical new material company, mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of a full range of polyurethane products, petrochemical products, functional materials, and specialty chemicals. It is the most competitive MDI in the world One of the manufacturers, Europe's largest TDI supplier.

Recently, Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd. released a report on the expansion project. The company plans to build a lithium-ion battery research and development pilot project. The project leases the existing plant and workshops of Yantai Zhuoneng Lithium Battery Co., Ltd. for research and development. It mainly conducts small-scale development of ternary precursors, cathode materials, anode materials, and zirconia ceramic materials, as well as pilot-scale development of zirconia, soft-pack batteries, ternary precursors, and cathode materials.

It is understood that the project has a construction area of more than 50,000 square meters and an investment scale of more than 700 million yuan. It is expected to be put into operation in June this year. It is another important project of Wanhua Group. Adhering to the concept of "Chemistry, Better Life", Wanhua made a detailed environmental impact assessment of this project, including assessments of atmospheric environment, surface water, groundwater, and solid waste. The report pointed out that the pollutants produced after the completion of the project can achieve stable and up-to-standard discharge, and have little impact on the regional environment. The construction site of the project is feasible, and the regional environmental pollution is small. The concept of cleaner production has been introduced in the project design. The construction of the project has received general support from the public, and the total amount control indicators are in the process of applying. After the application for the total and multiple replacement indicators is completed, the construction of the proposed project is feasible from an environmental protection perspective.
