Good market! Sino-Korea Petrochemical Restarts Glycol Waterway Factory
On March 8, the Ning Ruiyang No. 7 liquid vessel successfully berthed to Hengyang Wharf and started pumping and loading. The Sino-Korea Petrochemical and Chemical Zone has been suspended for nearly a year, and the ethylene glycol water route has been restarted.
Since last year, the ethylene glycol market has been in a downturn. In order to maximize benefits, the Chemical Production Management Department has arranged EO/EG devices to increase EO load, reduce EG load, and try to compress ethylene glycol output to reduce profit loss. Entering February, the ethylene glycol market has gradually recovered, and the price has been rising all the way. It coincided with the difficulty of EO leaving the factory during the Spring Festival. In order to ensure the balance between the upstream and downstream of the ethylene chain, the EO/EG device increased the output of EG and maintained the high-load production of the device.
Up to now, the price of ethylene glycol has risen by nearly 1,000 yuan. After discussions, the Chemical Production Management Department and the Marketing Department have decided to restart the ethylene glycol waterway factory based on market expectations. To this end, the Chemical Production Management Department organized the tank farm to conduct quality inspections on ethylene glycol products, and at the same time, arranged for special personnel to carefully inspect the process of ethylene glycol transportation to Hengyang Wharf, and re-purged and airtight the pipelines to ensure that nothing went wrong.
The restart of the ethylene glycol waterway factory this time is an example of Sino-Korea Petrochemical seizing market opportunities and doing everything possible to create benefits.
