Fufenozide is expanded to asparagus in China

2024-01-08

On December 28, 2023, Suyan Pesticide's 10% Fufenozide SC was approved for expansion of registration.

The new registered crop and control object is the Beet armyworm of asparagus. The method of use is to spray 70 ~ 100 ml/mu with 50 ~ 60 kg/mu of water in the young larva stage, and spray evenly once. The safe interval is 3 days after the emergence of asparagus sprouts, and use at most once per crop cycle. This is the first time that Fufenozide has been registered on asparagus in China. The original registered crop and control object of this product is the Beet armyworm of cabbage (since 2012).

Fufenozide is a microtoxic dihydrazide insect growth regulator developed independently in China. It has the function of moulting hormone and is mainly used to control lepidoptera pests. The registered crops and control objects of this product in the provisional registration stage (2004-2008) are Beet armyworm of cruciferous vegetable and tea geometrid.

According to GB 2763-2021, the maximum residue limit of Fufenozide in Chinese cabbage is 0.05 mg/kg.
