Ultra Violette Secures Investment to Expand Retail Footprint
Ultra Violette has secured investment from consumer growth equity firm Aria Growth Partners to fuel its international expansion plans.
The Australian sunscreen brand will use the funds to expand its presence in North America and will enter Sephora stores in Canada in March 2024. The investment will also be used for further product and team development.
This is the first time Ultra Violette has received outside capital since co-founders Ava Chandler-Matthews and Rebecca Jefferd launched the brand in 2019.
Ultra Violette offers SPF-infused products for face, body and lips. Stocked in 28 international markets across Europe, Australia, UK, Asia and the Middle East. Ultra Violette reportedly achieves 100% year-on-year growth every year.
"This investment marks an important milestone for our business," said Jefferd. "We are confident that it will be remembered as the start of something greater than we could have ever imagined. Through our expansion so far, we have been overwhelmed by the response to our product formulations, but we have only just scratched the surface."added Jefferd.
Jackie Dunklau, co-founder and partner at Aria Growth Partners, said, "Rebecca and Ava are impressive entrepreneurs who have created a beautiful brand with truly amazing high-performing products. As consumers change their SPF habits from occasion-based to everyday use, Ultra Violette is well-positioned to lead the way. "
