EPA Confirms Categorization of Micropep Peptide-based Biocide MPD-01: A Breakthrough in Crop Protection
In a significant development in the field of agriculture, Micropep Technologies, a leading company in peptide technology, has received confirmation from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the categorization of their peptide-based biocide, MPD-01. This breakthrough classification recognizes MPD-01 as a "biochemically similar" active ingredient, capable of controlling specific plant diseases and enhancing crop yield and quality. With EPA's endorsement, Micropep can now proceed with data verification and labeling requirements to register MPD-01, paving the way for its market launch.

MPD-01, a variant of naturally occurring peptides identified in tomato plants, represents a remarkable advancement in agricultural research. Unlike conventional pesticides, MPD-01 is derived from natural resources, rendering it harmless to humans and wildlife. The company reports disease control rates of up to 75%, depending on crop and environmental conditions, whereas many other biopesticides struggle to achieve 50% control. Expanding Product Line:
