Victaulic acquires Utility Coatings & Fabrication
Victaulic acquires Utility Coatings & Fabrication (UCF) in West Jordan, Utah. The acquisition supports the company's growth in the infrastructure, waterworks, energy and commercial construction markets and will increase large diameter pipe solutions, fabrication and coatings and lining capabilities.
Victaulic is a manufacturer of mechanical pipe joining, fire protection and flow control solutions. A major aspect of Victaulic's business strategy has always been to manufacture products close to customers.
The addition to UCF's operations includes more than 21,000 square feet of manufacturing space and more than five acres of land. Since 2011, Victaulic has added more than 1.4 million square feet of new foundry and fabrication capacity in North America.
"This acquisition is Victaulic's fourth consecutive investment in the past four years and underscores Victaulic's strategic vision for continued growth,” said Rick Bucher, president and CEO of Victaulic. "Victaulic remains committed to serving the needs of its North American customer base by expanding manufacturing capabilities in the western United States."
"This marks an exciting new chapter for our company. We are confident that the combined capabilities of UCF and Victaulic will create new opportunities for growth and innovation for our collective customers," said Jeff Dahle, CEO of UCF.
