China: Ten points to note for export pesticide registration only

China's policy of only export pesticide registration has been constantly updated in the past 10 years, and major pesticide companies have launched overseas sales of only export pesticides. This article summarizes some points for attention in pesticide registration.

(1) Virulent, highly toxic pesticides or products with "three causes" risk, do not agree to handle export registration only. 

 (2) Prohibited pesticides such as Paraquat and Metsulfuron methyl will no longer be registered for export only.

(3) Where the same or similar formulations have been registered, approval shall no longer be granted. If approved, the registration shall not be extended for more than one time.

(4) The new pesticide can be applied for at the same time as the formulation, or can apply for the technical registration separately, and provide the pesticide standard product at the same time.

(5) Before the new pesticide obtains domestic registration or export registration only, the accepted application for the registration of new pesticide for export only shall continue to be approved and registered in accordance with the approval of new pesticide products for export only. After the new pesticide obtains domestic registration or export registration only, it will no longer accept the export registration only of pesticides containing the active ingredient of other enterprises; If it has been accepted, it will no longer be approved for export registration only.

(6) The content of products limited to export registration may not meet the requirement of the number of effective ingredients, but the content of products applied for should be consistent with the content required overseas.  

(7) The test report and the qualification requirements of the test unit are consistent with the domestic registration requirements.  

(8) For the registration of preparations, the source of the technical shall be the technical registered for domestic use, except for new pesticide formulation.

(9) If the pesticide production license is not within the validity period or does not include the production scope of the product, the registration shall not be approved for renewal.  

(10) Overseas pesticide registration or import license documents are not valid or invalid, not approved to renew the registration.
