Introduction to the Consortium of Life Sciences Societies of China Association for Science and Technology (CAS)

The Consortium of Life Sciences Societies of China Association for Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "CAS") is the first consortium of learned societies under China Association for Science and Technology (CAS). It is a non-independent legal entity and a cooperative organization jointly initiated by 11 national learned societies in the field of life sciences affiliated to CAS. The founding conference was held in Beijing on October 15, 2015. Leaders of CAS attended the founding conference and emphasized the status, role, and significance of the Consortium.

Currently, the Consortium has 23 member societies, including the Zoological Society of China, the Botanical Society of China, the Entomological Society of China, the Microbiology Society of China, the Chinese Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, the Chinese Society of Plant Physiology and Plant Molecular Biology, the Chinese Society of Biophysics, the Chinese Society of Genetics, the Chinese Association for Laboratory Animal Science, the Chinese Society for Neuroscience, the Chinese Society for Biotechnology, the Chinese Society of Integrative Medicine, the Chinese Society of Physiology, the Chinese Society of Anatomy, the Chinese Society for Biomedical Engineering, the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Chinese Pharmacological Society, the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, the Chinese Society for Immunology, the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the Chinese Stroke Association, and the Chinese Society of Cognitive Sciences.
