Ten Phoxim EC products were expanded to walnut trees on the same day in China

 Atrijuglans hetaohei Yang is one of the important pests in walnut production in China, the harm is increasing year by year, seriously affecting the yield and quality of walnut.

On March 26, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs approved 40% of Phoxim from Shandong Avilive, Hailier, Shandong Dongtai, Shandong Lvdedi, Jinan Zhongkekeji, Shandong Aokun, Shandong Jining Tongda Chemical Plant, and Jiangxi Hkls’s Ten Phoxim products, including creme oil and 70% Phoxim EC from Jinan Luba, and Shandong Shibang, were expanded for registration. The newly registered crops and control objects were Atrijuglans hetaohei Yang. It is suggested that before the old larvae of lift moth are unearthed, At a dose of 350 ~ 450 ml/mu (40% content) or 200 ~ 257 ml/mu (70% content), spread the poison soil once, and cover the soil immediately after application. This is the first time that China has approved the registration of Phoxim in walnut trees.

Previously, 22 Emamectin Benzoate WDG(18 with 5% content, 2 with 3% content, and 1 with 2% and 8% content each) were expanded to walnut trees in China in June 2023 for the control of lifting moth. Three Cypermethrin EC products (all with 5% content) have been expanded to walnut trees in China in January 2022 for the control of Atrijuglans hetaohei Yang, Eucleidae and Gastrolina depressa.

GB 2763-2021 stipulates that the maximum residue limit standard of Emamectin Benzoate in nuts (including walnuts) in China is 0.001 mg/kg (provisional limit), and the maximum residue limit standard of Phoxim and Cypermethrin in walnuts in China has not been established.
