The Domestic Food Industry Has Embraced New Opportunities
According to the latest news, the domestic food industry as a whole achieved stable growth in the first half of 2024, especially some sub-sectors performed particularly well.
The fresh food market continued its good development trend. According to statistical data, the consumption scale of fresh food in the first half of the year has reached 850 billion yuan, up 5.2% year-on-year. Among them, the growth rate of fruit and vegetable categories is faster, mainly due to the promotion of consumption upgrade trend.
The dairy industry, on the other hand, maintained a stable development trend. Domestic dairy enterprises actively devote themselves to product innovation to meet the growing personalized needs of consumers. The industry's overall revenue increased by 4.3% year-on-year in the first half of the year.
At the same time, the condiment market also showed a sustained prosperous trend. As a daily cooking necessity, condiments achieved a sales growth of 6.7% in the first half of the year. Consumers' demand for nutritious and flavorful condiments continues to rise.
It is worth mentioning that the food and beverage e-commerce channel sales momentum is strong. In the first half of the year, the online sales ratio has exceeded 25%, becoming an important driving force for industry growth. Companies are increasingly focusing on online channels to meet the growing demand for convenient shopping among consumers. In summary, the domestic food industry is riding the wind of consumption upgrading and the new retail trend, presenting a good development trend.
