Fayette Pipe Transforms Black Steel Pipe with FayetteGuard
American ERW black steel pipe manufacturer Fayette Pipe has announced the launch of FayetteGuard, a UV-LED-curable coating system for the exterior of black steel pipe.
The coating process, a first in the U.S., uses advanced LED technology to ensure enhanced protection, energy efficiency, durability and long-lasting performance to meet the stringent requirements of fire protection, plumbing and HVAC applications.
It also has an attractive black sheen that enhances the aesthetics of the installation. The UV-LED curing technology used by Fayette Pipe uses high-intensity electronic ultraviolet (UV) light to instantly cure the photoreactive substances used in FayetteGuard coatings. This method differs from traditional drying methods, which rely on evaporation or absorption to cure the chemicals.
Chris Gearing, vice president of Fayette Pipe, said, "FayetteGuard is not just the launch of a new product, it's the pioneering of a solution that embodies our dedication to durability, efficiency and environmental stewardship. We are proud to lead the industry toward more sustainable practices while continuing to provide products that meet the high standards our customers expect from us."
