Denka raises chloroprene prices

ECHEMI 2024-08-26

Denka has decided to implement price adjustments for its "Denka Chloroprene" brand chloroprene rubber in light of increased production and transportation costs.
The price increase will be more than $500 per metric ton, depending on the destination, effective September 2, 2024. This strategic move is intended to align the company's pricing structure with current market conditions and offset the impact of rising costs on its operations. Denka's actions reflect a broader trend of businesses adapting to financial pressures through price adjustments to maintain operational stability and profitability in a challenging economic environment.

"We continue to face difficulties with rising production and transportation costs. Although we are doing our best to minimize costs, our efforts alone cannot absorb all of the cost increases. Therefore, we have decided to increase our selling prices to maintain a stable supply and business continuity. We are very grateful for your continued support and understanding of the price adjustment."
