BASF Coatings Division continues to expand global refinish business: Jiangmen Application and Technology Center launched
BASF Coatings Division officially opened a new Application and Technology Center in Jiangmen, China. Located in the BASF Coatings (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. (BCG) site, the center is another important milestone in the continued expansion of BASF Coatings' global refinish technology network.
“We are proud to have a dedicated application center in Asia Pacific to improve the efficiency of new product development. The center is close to our R&D and production facilities in China and other regions, ensuring synergies and real-time response to market needs,” said Chris Titmarsh, Senior Vice President, BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings.
Established in 2016, the BASF Coatings (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. manufacturing plant has been providing a high-end, cost-effective and comprehensive refinish coatings portfolio, as well as commercial transportation solutions.
BASF Coatings (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. is committed to promoting innovation and sustainable development in the automotive coatings industry in Asia Pacific, and has made great contributions to the launch of a series of comprehensive water-based solutions, such as Norbin® 66 water-based primer and Glasurit water-based clearcoat.
“The new Application and Technology Center is more than just an extension of our production site and innovation center. It is a dedicated technology center designed for rigorous product process testing, evaluation and benchmarking,” said Susann Kluge, Vice President, Automotive Refinish Coatings Asia Pacific, BASF. “With this center, we can provide the highest standard products to the market that perfectly meet our customers’ requirements.”
