Corteva LumiTreo Seed Treatment: Five-Disease Killers? Or a New Concern in Soybean Fields?
Corteva has exclusively disclosed to AgroPages that it has successfully launched an innovative seed treatment fungicide, LumiTreo, in the Brazilian market. The product is a fusion of three active ingredients, fluorothiazolpyridoxone, rixoxate and streptomazole, and adopts advanced ternary compounding technology. This technology not only significantly improves the prevention and control efficiency of the product, but also provides a strong support for drug resistance management.
The company emphasizes that LumiTreo has a broad spectrum of control and is non-toxic to the plant, helping to maintain the initial health of the soybean plant, thereby increasing the yield potential. In particular, this is the first application of fluorothiazolpyridoxone and dioxymetin in the field of soybean seed treatment.
LumiTreo is effective against diseases including Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium pallidoroseum, Colletotrichum truncatum, and Phomopsis sojae and five major soybean diseases, including Phytophthora sojae and oomycosis. The mechanism of action is that after the seed is absorbed, the drug effect is transferred through the root system and the above-ground part of the plant, and the effect begins to play in the early stage of plant growth.
During the development of LumiTreo, Corteva conducted large-scale field trials in 15 regions of Brazil. The experimental results showed that LumiTreo was excellent in controlling root rot and cataplakia of soybean, and could significantly enhance plant vitality, with positive effects even at the flowering stage.
