Fire Explosion at Armacell Factory in Tianan, South Korea, Injures Employees and Halts Production Lines
On September 7, a fire and an explosion at the Armacell plant in Cheonan, South Korea, caused serious damage to the facility and forced the suspension of production operations. The plant is mainly responsible for the production of ArmaGel aerogel products. Unfortunately, the accident resulted in a serious injury to an employee, but he has received timely medical treatment and is recovering in the hospital. Aras Korea is working closely with local authorities to determine the exact cause of the accident. Although the ArmaGel production line has ceased operations, the Aras elastomer materials plant in Korea is still operating normally.
