The First Chinese Produced Large-Scale Air Separation Unit Successfully Generated Oxygen, Setting a Record!

Recently, Hang Oxygen Group Co., Ltd. for Baofeng Energy Inner Mongolia coal-to-olefin demonstration project supporting six sets of 110,000 standard cubic meters per hour air separation equipment, the first set of equipment successfully produced oxygen, marking the domestic super large air separation equipment technology into a new stage of development.

It is reported that the project is currently the world's largest single plant coal-to-olefin project. The planned construction of six air separation units, not only large scale, but also extremely high grade, will provide sufficient gas supply for the project. This is also the largest scale and number of super large air separation equipment orders that Hangoxygen has undertaken so far.

Han Yisong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Hangoxygen Group Co., LTD., pointed out that the air separation equipment supporting the project adopts the core key components such as high-pressure aluminum plate fin heat exchanger and large-diameter molecular sieve switching three-rod valve independently developed by Hangoxygen, which has the characteristics of short design and manufacturing cycle, localization rate and high level. The argon air separation unit of the project is also equipped with a poor krypton-xenon liquid extraction device, and its unique process design and on-site assembly process are in a leading position in the world. In addition, Hangoxygen deeply integrates air separation equipment with digital technology, realizes real-time monitoring and process traceability through intelligent operation center, ensures the stability of equipment operation and energy saving and environmental protection, and leads the domestic air separation industry to develop in the high-end, refined and intelligent direction.

According to reports, in order to cope with the problems of large grade and difficult transportation of the air separation device, Hangoxygen took the design, production and installation into consideration in the early stage of the project, innovatively applied on-site assembly and welding of large-diameter upper and lower tower segments, and optimized the design and installation scheme for the dusty weather in Saibei. It ensured the smooth docking of the main tower combination of six sets of air separation devices on the site, and the cold box was capped on time, which won the high evaluation of the owner.
