Kymera acquires thermal spray coating company Coating Center Castrop
Specialty materials and surface technology company Kymera International announces the successful acquisition of Coating Center Castrop GmbH. It is an integrated thermal spray and precision machining company providing complete design, manufacturing and finishing solutions for the aerospace, marine propulsion, pharmaceutical and general industrial markets. Based in Kastrup-Luxel, Germany, CCC provides its European customers with advanced engineering and thermal spray service applications to mitigate the effects of extreme wear on high-value components.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Kymera’s position in the thermal spray services market, delivering significant benefits to both companies by expanding its technical capabilities and expanding its global footprint, which currently includes the United States, Canada and Germany.
The addition of CCC brings advanced component engineering, manufacturing and CNC machining capabilities to Kymera’s Surface Technologies business and European HaloJet ID HVOF™ service centers to provide localized aerospace landing gear services to key customers in the region.
