Lancôme chooses Aptar’s POM-free HDS Inune pump for Absolue collection
For its first high-end fragrance collection, which celebrates the Centifolia roses grown at its rose estate in Grasse, southern France, Lancôme chose Aptar Beauty’s HDS Inune refill pump.
“With its robust design and high technology, it is perfectly engineered to deliver a thorough olfactory experience for the 11 fragrances in the Absolue Les Parfums collection,” says Aptar Beauty.
Absolue fragrances are based on two new patented rose extracts crafted exclusively for Lancôme, so olfactory integrity was paramount. Aptar Beauty worked closely with the L’Oréal brand to provide the right fragrance dispensers for the new collection.
The Inune pump uses Aptar’s High Definition Spray (HDS) actuator technology, ensuring that every aspect of each scent can fully reveal its complexity. The POM-free pump has no metal contact with the fragrance, further protecting the scent’s olfactory properties.
Lancôme decided to make Absolue Les Parfums refillable. HDS Inune comes with an SNI 15 screw neck for easy refilling. HDS Inune Refill is a lightweight spray that allows for wide yet fine diffusion.
Yaël Letrosne, Senior Accounting Executive EMEA at Aptar Beauty, highlights: “We are seeing a rise in niche fragrance collections from luxury brands that use the same packaging solution for a wide range of scents. Each brand has its own unique requirements, and Lancôme’s are particularly demanding, both aesthetically and technically. Our collaboration with Lancôme resulted in a high-performance dispensing solution that blends seamlessly with the look of the collection.”
HDS Inune Refill is produced and decorated at the Aptar Beauty factory in Le Nobourg, France. The gold anodizing matches the color of the cap and the metal plate that is fixed to the bottle. The high-end dispenser, together with its invisible mechanism, enhances the luxurious look and feel of the product.
