Rocher Group Wants to Refocus on Skin and Body Care, Divest Children's Fashion and Home Care

ECHEMI 2025-01-21

The French beauty group, which owns brands such as Yves Rocher, Arbonne, Sabon and Docteur Pierre Ricaud, has announced its intention to launch the divestment process of its children's fashion and home care divisions, which mainly include the Petit Bateau and Stanhome brands.

"As of now, we have no buyers," said group president Bris Rocher. "We have just started this process, which will take some time. In the meantime, Petit Bateau and Stanhome will remain part of the Rocher Group. I don't have a timeline. The whole process can happen quickly or it can take a long time,"

The group aims to refocus on its core business of skin and body care products. Recently, Rocher Group completed the sale of its perfume factory in Ploërmel, France, and sold its Flormar cosmetics brand.

Rocher Group will invest most of its investment in research and development. It also intends to renovate 200 of the 650 Yves Rocher stores in France and open more than 150 boutiques in Asia and the Middle East.

Founded in 1959, the Rocher Group operates in 118 countries and has sales of 2.2 billion euros in 2024 (up 2.4% from the previous year), with the Yves Rocher brand accounting for 53%, Arbonne 13%, Sabon 6%, Dr Pierre Ricaud 2.5%, Petit Bateau 12% and Stanhome 9%.
