Maesa Sells European and Middle Eastern Business to KDC/One
Maesa, a New York-based incubator for beauty and personal care brands, has sold its European and Middle Eastern business (EMEA) to Knowlton Development Corporation (KDC/One), a leading provider of custom formulation, packaging design and manufacturing solutions for beauty, personal care and home care brands.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The new company will combine KDC/One’s packaging and formulation capabilities with Maesa EMEA’s ability to develop storytelling, innovative design and on-trend products.
The transaction comes as Maesa doubles down on its high-growth global brands, including Kristin Ess, Being Frenshe Hairitage and Fine'ry by Mindy McKnight, as well as its fragrance portfolio for iconic fashion brands and retailers.
