OQ Chemicals to Start Heptanoic Acid Production in Germany
OQ Chemicals will start dedicated production of heptanoic acid in Oberhausen, Germany, in June 2025. This investment in expanded production capacity is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its carboxylic acid portfolio and enhance supply chain security for customers.
Commercial availability of heptanoic acid from European production is expected by June 2025. Heptanoic acid is recognized for its versatility in various sectors including performance materials, energy solutions, consumer goods and aviation.
